In honor of my birthday month (March 21st to be exact), I’m adopting the mindset that we should celebrate every day, not just when a specific calendar date rolls around every year. I’m not talking about a treat-yourself marathon, but instead, adopting the mindset that if you look hard enough, anything and everything can be cause for a celebration. A good cup of coffee, spending time with friends and family, achieving a small goal or reaching a milestone – those are all things worth celebrating.
So, in the spirit of celebration, I’m sharing something that I’ve currently been celebrating: a reason to have sprinkles 😉 For my birthday month, I’m giving you a sneak peek of my favorite protein smoothie, along with some other healthy birthday cake inspired recipes that you can enjoy any time of year!
Disclaimer: Being able to enjoy your favorite tasty treats is part of living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. That includes the full fat, full sugar sweets that we love! BUT.. if you’re working on a body recomposition goal or you’re just trying to find healthier versions of some of your favorite treats, then keep scrolling!

It’s an annual tradition in our house that on someone’s birthday, we go out for donuts and coffee. Now, I can partake in this tradition, too! (I have both gluten and dairy allergies so these options are perfect!)
